FAQs
How does the matching process happen?
Firstly, we will have a kickoff workshop to understand your business and the the typesof sale-related activities you or your sales team may need assistance with. and how your current sales process works.
Following this, we will conduct a second workshop to better understand your sales process and culture, helping us to understand the type of person that would be best suited to be part of your team.
Then it’s time to leave it to us to do the matching! We’ll organise interviews with at least two candidates allowing the option of choosing a SaleMate who is the right fit for your team.
Are you a lead generation Company?
We are not a lead generation company. We assist in sales-related activities so that founders and sales teams can focus on closing deals, without having to spend the time on the admin surrounding the sale.
Does my SaleMate only work remotely?
Typically, a SaleMate will work remotely, however there are multiple options that can be discussed during a discovery call.
- Depending on where you are located, it is possible that we could match you with a SaleMate who is in your region. It would then be possible for your SaleMate to work on a hybrid model, and join you and your team in the office occasionally or meet you for in-person sessions.
- We also have our own office in Bree Street, Cape Town, where we work in an office as a team twice a week. So another option would be for your SaleMate to work in office with us to have the support and camaraderie of a team.
Who provides the SaleMate with the necessary equipment?
The SaleMate is provided with their own laptop and equipment needed to perform the job. If there are any additional tool or tech that are needed to perform the job effectively, this will be at your expense.
What happens if I need to use my SaleMate for other activities other than those on the website?
We carefully hire and train our SaleMates to be effective in the SaleMate activities. It is possible for them to they do other activities if this is mutually agreed on by all three parties.
What happens if it is not working out with my SaleMate?
Within the first three months, we will need 30 days notice to replace and onboard a new SaleMate. After three months we will run a retro and should be settled on how things are going. We will be able to discuss a process going forward should we need to replace your SaleMate for whatever reason.
Who does the SaleMate report to?
The SaleMate for all intensive purposes will form part of your company. They will fall into your usual flow and reporting structure of all day to day and ops related matters. You will provide your SalemMate with a company email as well as access to your internal tools, systems and resources. However, when it comes to any HR related matters or performance reviews we that falls under us. . We are also responsible for any employment-related queries.
How many hours does the SaleMate work?
Although there is an indication of “hours saved”, we do not work on selling time. Your SaleMate is not contracted to work a particular number of hours per day, but will ensure that it is an outcome based approach. If the expectations for the SaleMate are beyond the package that you have chosen, this will be brought to your attention so that you can move onto a different package. The SaleMate role can be seen as ‘part time role’ that is designed to bring coordination and efficiency into your sales function.
What is the process if I want to hire the SaleMate internally?
This is a possibility that is open to discussion under the following conditions:
- This can not be done within the first 3 months
- An industry competitive recruitment fee will be implemented
- If the offer is made within the first 6 months it will be compulsory to sign up for our integration package
- The decision ultimately lies with the SaleMate as to whether they want to be hired full time by your company
